Punk meets black tie
LUCIE & DAN
Venue: Palác Žofín, Praha
Lucie was an elegant lawyer.
Dan was a musician, bartender and creative.
Two completely different worlds.
It was clear that their wedding couldn’t be purely delicate and traditional, nor could it be all rock ‘n’ roll.
It had to be somewhere in between.
With Czech and British families coming together, there were different personalities, different energies and different expectations.
So from the very beginning, we focused not just on the design, but above all on how everyone would feel.
Finding the right balance.
And not letting either side take over.
Dan’s world was bold — music, bars, a slightly darker aesthetic, inspired by Johnny Depp.
Lucie’s style, on the other hand, was clean and elegant.
So we set a simple rule: keep the foundation elegant and carefully introduce bolder elements.
The wedding took place in September, which worked beautifully in our favour.
We used black and gold, but only in the details:
-
Black and gold cutlery
-
Black structures with fairy lights
-
Bolder stationery
And then we softened the whole look with:
-
Textiles
-
Lighting
-
Flowers
To keep it from feeling too harsh.
To be honest, this was probably the most delicate balance of the entire wedding. It would have taken very little for the design to go in a completely different direction.
For me, how the guests feel is always essential.
Here, we needed to make sure that:
-
Two cultures came together naturally
-
No one felt left out
-
The entire day flowed smoothly
We paid a lot of attention to the flow of the day, transitions and timing.
The result was exactly what I aim for — everything worked seamlessly, and guests could simply relax and enjoy the natural flow of the celebration.
Music was key.
We had an incredible eight-piece band. The energy, the lighting, the atmosphere — it completely transformed the space.
The evening had a natural progression.
Live music outdoors.
After 10 pm, everyone moved inside.
Then the DJ took over and the party began.
Everything flowed smoothly and naturally, without any abrupt transitions.
Moje role
Lucie a Dan mi dali velkou důvěru a nechali mě i dodavatele tvořit s nevídanou volností. Díky tomu jsme mohli celý koncept dotáhnout do detailu a udržet ho konzistentní.
Naprosto osobitá, výrazná, moderní a stále elegantní. A hlavně — seděla jim oběma.

Lucka vyřeší jakýkoliv problém, i počasí nám objednala. A zároveň je to prostě zlatíčko, jednání s ní – i s Janou, její kolegyní – není plánování, je to radost! Nejlepší plannerky u nás, neváhejte, nezklamou.
